In 2021, I became the 3rd Australian to travel to space, launching with Star Trek's William Shatner on Blue Origin’s 2nd human spaceflight. “The Great Unknown” captures the joy of our (NS-18 crew) journey together, and celebrates the joys of exploration, curiosity, and spirit of adventure.
I've always had a vision since I was a child,
that I could reach out for the stars I saw shooting across the sky.
I knew someday I'd get there, without a shadow of a doubt.
I just had faith that it would happen, and that's what hope's about.
Then my friend called me out of the blue,
said my wildest dreams are coming true!
Lift your head up!
Eyes wide open!
No more waiting!
Get on board, we're finally going!
You got one life to seize the moment.
We're psyched up ready for this journey to the great unknown!
Ooh! You know it! Ooh!
To the Great Unknown!
And now we're here together, sharing the same dream.
We’re turning the impossible into reality.
A search for new perspectives, imagination taking flight.
The joy in finding more to learn and the future still is bright.
The countdown has begun.
This crew of four now all rise as one!
Lift your head up!
Eyes wide open!
No more waiting!
Get on board, we're finally going.
You’ve got one life so seize the moment.
We're psyched up ready for this journey to the great unknown!
This song is for that star crossed dreamer
who grew up to be me, to be me!
You know it!
Ooh-ooh-oh! Ooh-woah-oh-ah!
You got one life, oh yeah you know it!
Seize the moment!
My wildest dream is coming true.
I couldn't ask for a better crew!
Lift your head up!
Eyes wide open!
No more waiting!
Get on board, we're finally going.
You’ve got one life so seize the moment
We're psyched up ready for this journey to the great unknown!
Lift your head up!
Eyes wide open!
There’s no more waiting!
So get on board we're finally going.
We’ve got one life so we gotta seize the moment.
We're psyched up ready for this journey to the great unknown!
